We build infrastructure.

You will have seen us around!
We have been delivering civil construction projects in the Greater Wellington Region since 1991, starting out with a small team of six, building up to our current team of around 40 people.

We are locally owned, with directors David Howard and Steve Scrimshaw working within the business, and making themselves available to all clients.

We have spent the last few years working with Wellington Water delivering three waters’ projects. We have also completed other major projects, including the service realignments for the Arras Tunnel, and installation of stormwater infrastructure and subsoil drainage for Transmission Gully.

We prioritize sustainable construction practices to minimise environmental impact. By utilising trenchless techniques, we reduce surface disruption, preserve natural landscapes, and lower waste generation. These methods help reduce our carbon footprint, protect ecosystems, and contribute to more sustainable infrastructure development.

Our commitment to environmental management ensures compliance with regulations while reinforcing our dedication to responsible and forward-thinking construction.

Safety is at the heart of everything we do. Given the high-risk nature of our work, we prioritize accident prevention, minimize downtime, and maintain strict compliance. Our strong health & safety culture not only protects our team, the public, and the environment but also safeguards our clients’ reputation—reducing liability and ensuring successful, timely project completion.

Our core value: Everyone home safely, every night.

Procore: Enhancing Safety & Efficiency

We leverage Procore, the worlds leading project management system, to quickly identify and manage incidents or non-conformance.

Procore provides real-time access to project data on phones, tablets, and laptops. We use it on the go from any location, improving efficiency and saving valuable time.

Flexibility

Often CCL carries out work in commercially sensitive, high use areas or critical roads that must be operational during business hours. This requires us to be flexible with the timing of the work and in some cases, we will carry out the work at night or adjust start and finish times to suit.
Our priority is to ensure affected businesses and stakeholders operate as normally as possible with minimum disruption to traffic and access.
